Mentor Woodturning Workshop
You are invited...
January 4 & 5
Open Mentoring Session at the Slocum’s
David and I would like to open our workshop on Saturday and Sunday, (January 4 and 5) for a mentoring workshop.
We will bring the club lathes to our shop and with ours we will have five lathes available and a sharpening station. If it is a cold day, we have heat in the workshop!
You would need to bring your own tools and wood that you want to turn.
TWO shifts-morning 9am-Noon and afternoon 1pm-4pm each day.
This is a great way to get help with something you may be having trouble with or something you specifically want to learn. This is a great chance for newer members to meet and work with other members of the club and build relationships.
We have a Wolverine jig and CBN wheel if you have questions on sharpening -- the mentors can help teach that as well.
The club is trying to find new ways to promote teaching. We have a lot of new and old members who have things they want to learn how to do – so let’s get together and learn.
We live by downtown Gilbert at the southeast corner of Gilbert and Elliot if you are interested in mentoring or being mentored email us at slocum332@gmail.com to schedule your session.
