Woodturning Workshop

David and I would like to open our workshop on Saturday and Sunday, (January 4th and 5th) for a mentoring workshop.
We will bring the club lathes to our shop and with ours we will have five lathes available and a sharpening station. If it is a cold day, we have heat in the workshop!
You would need to bring your own tools and wood that you want to turn.
We want to do TWO shifts-morning 9am-Noon and afternoon 1pm-4pm each day.
This is a great way to get help with something you may be having trouble with or something you specifically want to learn. This is a great chance for newer members to meet and work with other members of the club and build relationships.
We have a wolverine jig and CBN wheel if you have questions on sharpening — the mentors can help teach that as well.
The club is trying to find new ways to promote teaching. We have a lot of new and old members who have things they want to learn how to do – so let’s get together and learn.

Questions or want to learn:  spindle turning, hollow form, burning, carving, piercing, sharpening, basic bowl techniques?  This is a great way to get help with something you may be having trouble with or something you want to learn.  Dale Gilford will be there teaching piercing, carving and burning each day if you want to stop by and give it a try.
